Discovering the Future

This segment of our Understanding our Heritage project began by surveying our own classroom families to determine when and why they had come to Millarville. We have 2 students who are direct descendants of original homesteading families and one from an early entrepreneur. With this information outlined on a timeline, we noticed a pattern in the growth of the Millarville community over time. People choose to move to Millarville for the peace and quiet and the wide open spaces. Some moved here because their ancestors had homesteaded the area and they were looking for a sense of community and a safe place to raise a family. We began to wonder if in the future, this would be the same reason why people would come to Millarville.
