Turner Valley Senior Story 2:
Turner Valley

Mac was a really, really involved kind of person at Mclaren’s School. He was really sports minded, and really supportive of hockey. He and his wife were really good curlers they were both really involved in everything in the community. And that was the one thing about our community of Turner Valley growing up everybody was involved. Whether it was all the store keepers, my dad’s opposition was Mr. Hayhearst. They were really, really good friends. They all worked on the same committee, they worked to have skating rinks, and  they worked to have the pool. They all worked together. If you wanted something done everybody worked and you weren’t afraid of phoning up everybody and saying would you do this not do this, because at that time Turner Valley was absolutely a community. And they always say that children can’t get into trouble- Even when I was growing up I was very careful what I did, even after I was married. Because if I wasn’t a good girl my dad would hear about it before I got home.
