I know more about our town after we did this project because we walked around our town and we met and talked to people. We read about the people and places. We understood and learned more because our teacher was really into the project.
History is interesting because you learn about people who used to live here in our town and then we know more about our history and discoveries in our town. Even though our town is small it makes me proud of our town.
Every where I look I now see a piece of our history. The big trees that were planted years ago. My dad went to our school. Our streets are named after people we learned about. Our gas flares are old and important to our town and a symbol of why the town is here.
