Turner Valley Senior Story 2:
Turner Valley

Now Turner Valley itself has really changed. My dad had a store in Turner Valley for forty years. And even going back farther than that some of my family has lived in this area of Turner Valley since 1894, 94, 96.

My dad had a store in Turner Valley for forty years. They came in 1929 and the first store was over where, you know where the Valley Neighbors building is? They had their first store over there. Then there was a big fire on main street, and they built next to, well it wasn t there at that time, but where the post office is. And that s where the drug store is. We had a store, we had everything, we had groceries, we had locker plant, clothing. It was a real general store. And if we didn t have it, we d get it for you. So my dad and his family, they came- started their first store in 1929.
