Naming the West : Stories Melrose School

Melrose School Senior Story 1

The original school of this area was of course Melrose School and this is Melrose School District. The school was right across the road from our farm. So just up the road west and on your right just before you got to the overpass was a little one room school called Melrose School.

My dad’s dad was the chairman of that school for many, many years and in fact the teachers who worked in that school, there was only one teacher of course for many years, stayed at my dad’s house right across the road.
