Traditional Naming

The residential schools had a really huge impact on it though, because traditional names were taken, and you were given European names. Another thing that took that, that had a huge impact on it, was adopting the religion, the Christian religion. That had a huge impact on it, because of, like in the bible they have all these names. Religion had a really huge impact, and residential schools. Residential schools where we kind of lost our traditional naming and whatnot. And of course, being put in small little areas and having to see the Europeans everyday we kind of adapted to their thing, and lost our traditional naming.
