Eden Valley Elder Story 2:
Land

That mountain there is called (?). It is named because a long time ago there used to be a little house up there that watches out for forest fires and stuff. And that is why it is called that.

That hill, when they first bought Eden Valley, people used to come up that hill, they would come and look at the reserve and come back down. They had a superstition about coming right in and living right there, so they had to wait at least six months and then after that they moved in. And they didn’t fish in the water after that. Because for that one whole year there was lots of fish, but I guess it was another superstition. If they fished right away, the fish would disappear. So they left the fish alone for the whole year.
