Eden Valley Elder Story 2:
Johnny Lefthand

Before they lived in the reserve they lived in tents, working for ranchers and sometimes just living on the rancher’s lands all year round, until Johnny Lefthand had the idea of trying to get a reserve for the people of Eden Valley. So they had a big meeting and a rancher called, Rod Maclay helped the people to get the land. They used to have big feasts, big meetings and celebrations and so fourth to try and get the land.

In 1949 they came to the reserve, because they finally got the land they worked for so long.
