Unlikely Heroes: The Real Deal

New York City Firemen, World Trade Centre, Sept. 11/01

Todd Beamer, Passenger on Flight 93, Sept. 11/01

People can choose occupations where heroic actions may be a part of the job.

Sometimes however, ordinary people find themselves in extraordinary situations where they are called to be heroic.

Terry Fox, Mother Theresa, or the firemen and doomed passengers of flight 93 on September 11/01 are real life unlikely heroes.

You may know of other examples, perhaps even among your friends or family.
