Black Diamond Store - Senior Story 2

We might have missed this, but what was the name of the school that you went to?

It was the Black Diamond Rural School. Actually, the school was built, it was a two room school, built for Black Diamond, for the children in Black Diamond. But just about the time they built it Black Diamond became almost a boom town and they decided they needed a school in Black Diamond. And that s when the first part of Ian McLaren was built. And the children from Black Diamond never did go to that school. So we were, it was a country school. When you go out of Black Diamond instead of going north around the corner you went straight on about a quarter of a mile, and it was a two room school. We only used one for school, and in the winter time when it was really cold the teacher let us go into that second room and play.

Is the school still there?

Actually, the school was moved into Black Diamond, and I can't remember the year, but it served as Black Diamond's first fire hall. I went to Oilfield high school but Oilfields high school is the golf club now, that was oil high school and thats where I took my highschool, was where the clubhouse at the golf course.
