Students choose partners they will be able to work with cooperatively

Students choose a study topic from the table above

Students research their topic through various sources including books, videos, websites, etc. (see resources)

The intended audience is fellow Grade 3 classmates and a Grade 1 class, also involved in a study of the Inuit

Students design several slides that will allow them to present their research findings

Slide format is chosen, slides are set up and text is entered on each slide (this step is checked by the teacher before students move into any further design of the slides)

Slides are then completed by following the following steps:

choose font
choose word art style
insert images
add background
add custom animation

Students will present their slide to their class and the combined work will be presented to the Grade 1 class
Student pairs are responsible for designing 2 questions related to their segment of the PowerPoint presentation to include in a grade 1 quiz.

The students will be assessed on the technology aspects of their presentation, the Language Arts components, and their partner work. (see Assessment )
