Siksika Elder Story 2:
Chief Nato-Sapi School

We were always one to play. I don’t know, I don’t think any of you play any more, because in our day even the senior boys played. And what we do is send one boy up to the hayloft so he can look out for the supervisor or the farmer instructor. When he comes, he would stamp on the floor really hard. The ones that are downstairs, so we wouldn’t get caught riding the calves in the barn. We’d take our belts off, we put ‘em together, and then we’d ride. Most of us got hurt, because it is kind of hard when you get thrown against the wall. That was our school day.
