Without a name people will forget about a place. They won’t know the stories. They won’t visit. When you name a place, name it after some one who is giving, kind and has helped the town to grow.
People who we interviewed felt valued and they enjoyed being with us and telling their stories. When we went out into the community, we met even more people.
You get to go out and experience and be part of history more than just read about it. They you will remember what you have learned. You start to notice places that you didn’t see before. You become more aware of the places around you.
