Mint Tea

Mint Tea 1
Pastel by a Grade 4 student

"At Stampede to make mint tea first you must buy mint leaves or pick mint herbs from a garden or crop. Next you have to dry the mint by removing the leaves from the stems. Dry in the shade for about 2 weeks. Use about 1 tablespoonful of crushed, dry leaves per cup of water. Pour boiling water onto it. Mint teas can be drunk with cream or sugar or honey. To make mint tea you have to remove the leaves from the stems, chop or crush the leaves and add mint near the end of the cooking. Use about ½ cup for four cups of boiling water. Don't boil the tea, pour boiling water over the leaves and steep for 5 minutes."
