Follow Your Dream by Ben

It was a cool morning. Josh a seventeen-year-old boy, was having a usual day working on the railway. Six more miles and he would be done. He was anxious to be finished this long hard job. He needed the money to pay for his ticket so he could follow his dream. He wanted to get out of Saskatchewan and go to Okotoks. Okotoks was a place where there was space, a big river, food, and water and cheep land.

Bang!!! Another explosion on the railway took off 16 kilometers of track. Josh was getting frustrated and annoyed. They were supposed to be finished two weeks ago. Another delay, more work and less opportunity to get to Okotoks and settle down. Josh wondered when this would ever end.

All of a sudden, from over the hill, a huge train came thundering towards them. People started jumping out of the way. It came to a screeching halt. Out of the mysterious train came hundreds of bold men. They immediately picked up their tools and began to work. Soon the 16 kilometers of rumble was moved out of the way. That section of the track was rebuilt and a new section was started. Josh now knew that his dream of moving to Okotoks could and would come true.
