A Place to Stay By Joel

My horse, Relic, my dog, Pep and I were looking for a place to stay. The sun was setting, it was getting chilly and we knew we needed a place to sleep. It was damp in the moonlight. It soon got dork. We rode into someone's field. We came to a house. It was dark and empty it almost looked haunted to us. We knocked on the door and no one answered. It was locked so we walked carefully through the dark down the hill to the barn.

Relic went to some hay that was left over from other horses. I got a candle from on a shelf. I lit it then I found a place to settle into sleep for the night. Pep and I made a bed in the straw. We fell to sleep but it was hard to stay asleep in a place we did not know. In the morning I saddled up the horse and we continued on our journey.
