The Small Sod House by Jared

It was not very much fun to live in the small sod house. The house would be quiet and cozy, you might think that this would make it cool to live in. I suppose sometimes it would be fun but other times it would be difficult. The roof was made out of sod and leaves. It was low down, almost close enough to the ground for me to touch it with my fingers.

The house had holes in the sides because the mice had got into it. If you had to live in the house it would be uncomfortable and it would not be easy to live there. The floor would be very dry. If you sat on the ground you would be uncomfortable from the hard, dirt ground. If it rained out it would become damp. If it was windy the food would have dirt in it from the wind blowing against the walls of the house. The windows were cut like a square with no glass in them. They did not let very much light into the house. It would be hard to make the house and it would be hard to keep it clean. It would not be very fun to live in the house when it rained or snowed out. When it is not raining it would be really fun because you could play outside all day long.
