Chemical and biological weapons are a very real danger in the world today. With mounting tensions we need to be aware of the implications of war and the use of chemical and biological agents, and how we can protect ourselves.

WELCOME SCIENTISTS:

We have recently attended a Chemical and Biological Protection Center for Canada's Department of National Defense to help us in our search for information.

"I enjoyed learning about mustard, sarin, and VX in the chemistry lab and doing the tests to see if a solution was a nerve or blistering agent. I also liked trying on the gas mask!"

In addition, we have discussed the reasons behind the recent international conflict and whether or not it could have been solved by peaceful negotiations.

We have been asked to research the dangers and importance of this topic and prepare a proposal to send to the Canadian Department of National Defense.
