Designing, building, programming and testing a robot is a combination of physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering, mathematics and computing. In some cases biology, medicine, chemistry might also be involved. A study with robotics means that students are actively engaged with all of these disciplines in a deep problem-posing / problem-solving environment.

To illustrate how all these disciplines work together in a robotics environment and to help teachers see how creating robots might fit into their curriculum, we are are in continuing to develop and expand an extensive, but certainly not exhaustive, K-12 curriculum mapping for robotics.
